Из полиэтилена и кевлара: новый бронежилет разработали для российских саперов

First deliveries to troops expected in September

The company "Yarl" has developed a new body armor for the Russian military, which is intended for sappers of humanitarian demining. First deliveries will start in September 2024.

In the manufacture of new body armor, para-aramid fiber (Kevlar) and ultra-high molecular weight high-density polyethylene will be used.

Modern and technological body armor has been developed for specialists in humanitarian demining, who perform tasks to clear the area from explosive elements. A modular personal protective equipment system has been produced to order of our company, which meets all modern requirements and takes into account the specifics of work during civil demining.

The company noted that the refined version of the body armor will be presented at the international military-technical forum "Army-2024".

Mine-explosive injuries are caused by a powerful shock wave and a large number of fragments, which requires an increase in the protection area while maintaining the requirements for weight and anti-splinter resistance of the armor kit.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Rostec increased the production of aircraft bombs with UMPC. The state corporation has restored the production of high-explosive aerial bombs of 3 thousand kg caliber.
