The Agency for Creative Industries (ACI) has announced the creation of Russia's first innovative video game and animation cluster, which will open in Skolkovo in 2025. The new cluster, located on five floors of the Stratos business center on Nikola Tesla Street in Moscow, will occupy an area of about 40,000 square meters.
The cluster will become a key center for the development and support of the video game and animation industry in Russia. It will provide access to modern equipment and resources for both leading companies and start-up studios. It is expected that by 2030 the cluster will be able to accommodate about 2,000 specialists, small and large studios, as well as independent developers, providing them with the opportunity to participate in acceleration programs.
The cluster's infrastructure will include motion capture studios, sound recording studios, a cinema, a lecture hall, a conference hall, meeting rooms and an exhibition area. These facilities will foster innovation in graphics, sound, artificial intelligence and virtual reality, as well as create new jobs.
According to Gulnara Agamova, head of the ACI, the creation of the cluster is aimed at significantly increasing the number of domestic video game and animation products in both the Russian and international markets.
