A set of video recording, voice and video information transmission equipment was developed jointly by specialists from the Space Infrastructure Operation Center of Roscosmos (TsENKI) and the Yaroslavl Radio Plant. It will be installed on a new space special transport: a complex of landing areas and primary maintenance of the return vehicle (KRPPOVA).
The kit includes satellite, radio and telecommunications equipment. It will be responsible for:
- photographic and video recording of technological operations in the landing area of the return vehicle, with the ability to transmit video signals live via Russian satellite repeaters in various digital broadcasting standards;
- receiving, recording and storing crew negotiations with the search and rescue team;
- providing technological mobile radio communications, using DMR Tier 2 technology, for KRPPOVA personnel while traveling to the landing site and at the landing site of the return vehicle.
Almost all components of the video communication complex are Russian.
