The first photos of a prototype of an unknown operational-tactical missile system, which was named "Iskander-1000", have appeared online. Military expert Evgeny Damanzev suggested that the system's characteristics will allow it to eliminate the launchers of the Gryphon and LRHW Dark Eagle missile systems in Germany, as well as deprive Western anti-aircraft missile divisions Patriot PAС-3MSE and SAMP-T of a temporary window for deployment.

According to Damanzev, in the case of "Iskander-1000", the time for warning the enemy about an attack using optoelectronic reconnaissance satellites will vary only from 2 to 7 minutes, depending on the distance of the target object.

Infrared reconnaissance satellites of the enemy with wide-angle high-resolution IR sensor lenses will already be able to detect the heat-contrast flares of solid-propellant rocket engines of operational-tactical quasi-ballistic missiles in the active sections of trajectories.

The analyst also suggested that the missile system will receive 9M723-1/K5 missiles, but with an increase in the volume of the solid propellant charge by up to +15%, which increases the operating period of the product.

In combination with a higher-impulse fuel charge based on octogen, the new engine can provide a promising operational-tactical quasi-ballistic missile with a speed of up to 2700 - 3100 m/s, which is comparable to the Kh-47M2 "Kinzhal", he believes.

The missile will also have tail blocks of gas-dynamic control and aerodynamic rudders for maneuvering in the stratosphere and troposphere with available overloads of up to 25 - 30 units, and will also be equipped with the "Cometa-R8" GLONASS/GPS correction module, or a module for firing dipole reflectors and an on-board electronic warfare complex of the X/J/Ka-band.
