Russian military personnel have learned to identify and destroy anti-aircraft missile systems that employ extremely dangerous anti-aircraft ambush tactics. The "Khibiny" electronic warfare system also helps in this, according to military analyst and air defense systems specialist Alexei Leonkov.
According to him, the tactic of anti-aircraft ambushes assumes that the SAM system calculations are aimed specifically at preserving the air defense system itself and hitting aircraft. At the same time, the task of covering the attacked ground target becomes secondary.
Our military has learned to effectively combat this rather treacherous and dangerous tactic of the enemy's air defense forces. Various methods are used in this.
The expert clarified that Russian pilots use the "Khibiny" onboard defense system when maneuvering away from anti-aircraft missiles. These are electronic warfare systems, the containers of which are placed on the wingtips of Su-34 and Su-35S fighters, and Su-25 attack aircraft carry them under the wing. The system distorts the signal from the aircraft for air defense radars, which makes it difficult to aim missiles at it.
The "Khibiny" radar countermeasure system includes a radio-technical reconnaissance system, an active individual protection jamming system, a multi-processor computing subsystem, a broadband precision frequency storage unit, and a container system for active group protection jamming.
The destruction of SAM systems identified in ambushes is carried out using various versions of reconnaissance-strike systems. Such systems include automation, communication and control equipment, as well as various strike and reconnaissance complexes of air and ground basing.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that a new flight crew is being formed for the cruiser "Admiral Kuznetsov". Pilots are training over the Kola Peninsula and the Barents Sea.
