ОДК с новым газостатом выпустит к 2030 году более 3,5 тысяч двигателей для самолётов и вертолётов

New production site with Russia's largest domestically produced hot isostatic press operates around the clock

The launch of unique equipment from ZAO "Drobmash" at "ODK-UMPO" on an area of 2,000 sq.m. will accelerate the manufacturing process of parts for serial PD-8 and PD-14 engines and other promising aircraft engines, and increase their production.

The use of the new hot isostatic press will eliminate gas shrinkage porosity in titanium and aluminum alloy castings, improve material homogeneity, and strengthen it through high temperature and argon pressure. It will enable Russia to fully switch to its own titanium parts in aircraft production, whereas previously they had to be purchased abroad.

The launch of the hot isostatic pressing site is important for expanding the production and technological base not only of the Ufa enterprise "ODK-UMPO", but also of ODK as a whole. The introduction of high-tech equipment will improve the quality of titanium and aluminum castings and speed up the production of aircraft engines. We are actively increasing production capacity to meet the needs of the domestic civil aviation. Under the comprehensive program for the development of the aviation industry until 2030, we need to produce more than 3.5 thousand engines for airplanes and helicopters.
Vadim Badeha, General Director of ODK, member of the bureau of the central council of LLC "SoyuzMash Russia"

This is the first such equipment in modern Russia, which will allow to fulfill both the tasks of civil aviation development and the tasks of state defense order. The total investment in this production for technological development and import substitution is more than 3 billion rubles.
