Russian standard gas turbine T-80BV tanks at the forefront received sets of anti-cumulative and anti-drone protection. This was pointed out by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
According to him, one of the most interesting elements was a dense lattice anti-cumulative screen with an array of 4S20 dynamic protection elements "Kontakt-1" placed on it, which covers the rear sector of the right side armor plate of the turret.
Additional combat stability is provided to the vehicle by the latest radio-electronic countermeasure circuit against enemy FPV drones "Groza" from "Roselectronika".
In addition, additional vertically oriented protection fragments are placed at the interface points of the wedge-shaped pairs of 4S20 elements on the frontal armor plates of the turret.
