Insiders report that the «Moscow Metro» continues to purchase armored vehicles. The last time, 15 multi-ton «Patrol» vehicles were purchased, which are used by the National Guard. The main purpose of the armored vehicle is patrolling the area and reconnaissance.
Heavy equipment is produced in Naberezhnye Chelny at the «Asteys» plant. The car is assembled on the basis of KAMAZ. The armored vehicle is entitled to a 7.4-meter body, as well as an engine with a capacity of 260 horsepower. The total weight of the car is more than 13 tons.
This is far from the first purchase of armored vehicles by the security service of the capital's metro. In April, a «Buran» was purchased, and in June, the «Akhmat» armored vehicle.
