Engineers at "Yaroslavl Motor Plant" will create an automated transmission. It will have 12 speeds. In addition to the robotic version, a manual version will also be developed.
Basically, the gearboxes will be supplied for export. They will be purchased by "Minsk Motor Plant" for their heavy trucks. They can replace Chinese Fast Gear units. In Russia, the development of "Yaroslavl Motor Plant" is likely to be of interest to the "Ural" plant and the company "Nizhny Novgorod Trucks". The latter produces "Valdai" tractors.
Note that one of the disadvantages of robotic transmissions is the slowness of gear shifting. For passenger transport, this is a significant disadvantage, but for грузовой техники it does not play such a significant role.
