The crew of the Pacific Fleet's corvette "Sovershennyy" of the Russian Federation has departed from Vladivostok to carry out assigned tasks in the Asia-Pacific region (APR). As part of the mission preparation, the ship's personnel practiced emergency readiness for combat and sailing.
In the first stage, the corvette will take on board a Ka-27 helicopter of one of the modifications, after which it will begin implementing planned activities approved by the command. During the ship's activity in the APR, a series of ship exercises and training sessions with the practice of combat training exercises are planned.
The corvette "Sovershennyy" arrived at the meeting point with a detachment of Chinese warships in the Korea Strait near Jeju Island. The PLAN detachment included the destroyer "Yinchuan", the frigate "Hengshui", and the universal supply transport "Weishanhu". From the moment of the meeting, the fourth joint Russian-Chinese naval patrol in the APR began.
The military sailors of both countries held a meeting ceremony and exchanged greetings via radio communication. The main tasks of the patrol are to strengthen naval cooperation between Russia and China, maintain peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region, monitor the maritime area, and protect the maritime economic activities of the Russian Federation and the PRC.
The first joint Russian-Chinese naval patrol was conducted in 2021, and since then, such events have become regular and important for maintaining security and stability in the region.
