The LADA Niva Sport T2 racing car from the LADA Sport Rosneft team will participate in the Silk Way Rally-Raid, which will take place on the tracks of Russia and Mongolia from July 5 to 15. Two crews on racing Nivas will participate in the competition, according to AvtoVAZ.
Dmitry Voronov will drive a car with an engine producing 150 horsepower. Mikhail Matveev will be behind the wheel of a Niva with 180 horses. Before the races, the SUVs had their suspension reinforced, and air conditioners were installed in the cars.
Note that in addition to the racing version of the Niva, there is also the Niva Sport. It is called LADA Niva Sport.
