Preparation for the serial production of LADA Niva Sport will soon begin at the facilities of Lada Sport. The sporty Niva is expected to go into series production before the end of the year. This is according to insiders.

The car is equipped with a 1.6-liter engine producing 122 horsepower. Engineers have refined this engine from the Granta Sport, installing different cams and reworking the intake and exhaust. Another technical change is the unified control of the transfer case and differential lock. There are two transmission levers in the car's cabin. The classic Niva has three.

In the interior, the differences from the classic Niva are: a leather steering wheel, sports seats, and door cards with decorative inserts. They are made of gray Alcantara.
