Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ) revealed sales statistics for the first half of 2024. It turned out that the most popular model of the plant was the UAZ SGR, better known as the "Loaf".
In total, in the first half of the year, Ulyanovsk sold 16,572 cars. For comparison, AvtoVAZ sold 217,631 cars during the same period.
The "Loaf" was the most in demand. 6.68 thousand units were purchased. It is noteworthy that the current "Loaf" has been produced since 1965. It is a restyling of the UAZ-450, which was assembled since 1958. Of course, during this time the model has been modernized and improved, but it is surprising that Russians are not embarrassed that the "Loaf" platform is almost 60 years old.
The UAZ "Patriot" was in second place. The SUV was purchased in the amount of 4936 units. Third place is held by the UAZ "Profi". This is a van based on the "Patriot". In the first half of the year, 2481 such cars were purchased.
The fourth place in sales is held by the "Pickup" model — 2187 cars. And the most unpopular model is the UAZ "Hunter", only 228 cars found buyers.
