Russian military forces at the forefront have begun to more intensively use FAB-3000 M-54 high-explosive aerial bombs in a guided gliding modification with UMPC kits at enemy deployment and combat control points in the near rear areas.
Circular probable deviation of aerial bombs continues to decrease due to software optimization of the aerodynamic control surface control.
When guiding an aerial bomb, a key role is played by interference-protected radio navigation GPS-correction modules based on Kometa-M/R8 antennas from VNIIR-Progress with 8-beam upward-oriented radiation patterns.
These devices help the projectile avoid the effects of electronic warfare (EW) equipment and successfully reach the target. "Kometa-M" withstands an EW interference level 100,000 times greater than that of a conventional receiver. This corresponds to a 300-fold reduction in the range of interference suppression.
The FAB-3000 aerial bomb is designed to destroy industrial, urban, port facilities and other typical targets when bombing from altitudes up to 16,000 m at a flight speed of up to 1200 km/h. The FAB-3000 M-54 is equipped with TNT.
Tactical and technical characteristics of FAB-3000 M-54:
- Total weight (without fuses) - 3067 kg
- Weight of explosive - 1387 kg
- Body diameter - 820 mm
- Overall length (without fuse) - 3320 mm
- Stabilizer span - 1002 mm
- Number of fuses - 3
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Russian Armed Forces at the forefrontmastered the tactics of remote mining with drones. Drone miners are capable of arming a projectile in the air and dropping it.
