«Капля» в море импортозамещения: «Росэлектроника» разработала миниатюрные светодиоды для бортовой аппаратуры самолетов

The product is in no way inferior to foreign analogues in terms of its characteristics

Specialists of the Ruselectronics holding (part of Rostec) have developed miniature surface-mounted LEDs under the code "Kaplya" (Drop) for airborne equipment in airplanes, helicopters, cars and ships. The products are in no way inferior to foreign analogues in terms of their technical characteristics.

Miniature LEDs with a size of 1.6x0.8x1.1 mm are semiconductor crystals on a substrate, the devices are soldered to the board, have low power consumption and bright glow.

Features of "Kaplya" LEDs:

  • operating temperature range varies from -60 to +85 degrees
  • service life is 50 thousand hours

Miniature LEDs were developed by employees of the Research Institute of Semiconductor Devices, which is part of the Ruselectronics holding. They presented samples of LEDs with red, yellow, blue, green and white glow colors.

Currently, most devices manufactured in Russia use imported miniature LEDs as backlighting.
Evgeny Monastyrev, General Director of the Research Institute of Semiconductor Devices

The research institute has transferred prototypes of LEDs to enterprises that manufacture membrane keyboards, instrument panels and radio communication equipment.
