Military Observer Ruled Out the Dominance of "Malva" in Counter-Battery Duels with Western Self-Propelled Guns

Rostec has supplied the troops with a batch of new highly mobile self-propelled artillery units (SPGs) 2S43 "Malva" on the BAZ-6910-027 "Voshchina" chassis. Despite the high dynamic and operational parameters, the howitzer has a major drawback. This was pointed out by the author of the specialized Telegram channel "Russian Weapon".

The main disadvantage is still the equipping of the 2S43 self-propelled gun with the outdated 2A64 gun, used in the 2S19 "Msta-S" self-propelled gun systems.
Observers of "Russian Weapon"

The author of the publication explained that the 2A64 gun has a lower muzzle energy and operational life of the barrel bore than the 2A88-1 gun of the 2S35 "Coalition-SV" self-propelled gun. Taking this into account, the "Russian Weapon" observer ruled out the dominance of "Malva" in counter-battery duels with Western self-propelled guns at a distance of 35-50 km.
