The "National Security. Belarus-2024" exhibition, in which representatives of the Roscosmos State Corporation participated, concluded last week in Minsk. As part of the exposition, the development of JSC "Corporation "VNIIEM" was also shown: the new RBKA apparatus.
This is part of an integrated Russian-Belarusian space system, which is planned to be launched in 2028. The satellite is a high-resolution Earth remote sensing spacecraft with an optoelectronic payload.
It will allow for:
- monitoring of natural resources, agricultural and forest lands, pastures;
- creation and updating of cartographic materials (topographic maps and city plans, general geographic and thematic maps);
- monitoring of the environment (pollution control of the natural environment, emergency situations);
- inventory and control of the construction of infrastructure facilities.
The high spatial resolution remote sensing data obtained with its help [RBKA], combined with advanced information processing technologies, will allow users to receive satellite monitoring services in various fields of economic activity at a new qualitative level (on a new high-precision geospatial basis).
It is known that the Belarusian OJSC "Peleng" is engaged in the optical payload for the satellite, and the ground control, reception, processing and distribution of space information complex is created by the enterprise "Geoinformation Systems" of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
