The online marketplace Wildberries has opened a pick-up point (PVP) in the Kuril Islands — it is located in Yuzhno-Kurilsk on the island of Kunashir. This was reported by the company's press service.
Goods arrive at the Wildberries sorting center in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, after which they are sent to the port of Korsakov, and then by sea to Yuzhno-Kurilsk.
The pick-up point has been operating for a month now — during this time, thousands of Wildberries customers have received their orders from the "mainland".
Alexander Lazarev, Head of the Wildberries Franchise PVP Department, said that the opening of pick-up points in remote corners of Russia is in great demand. In such places, the range of goods is limited.
Now residents of Yuzhno-Kurilsk have access to 75 million goods from the marketplace from sellers from Russia, China and other countries where Wildberries is present.
Deliveries are once a week.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Wildberries launched express delivery.
