Belarusian Legmash OJSC, which was recently integrated into the republic's military-industrial complex, has begun producing shells that will be useful for Russian artillery, including howitzers and MLRS.
The production facility was recently visited by the President of the Republic, Alexander Lukashenko, who was given a tour of the production by Dmitry Pantus, Chairman of the State Military-Industrial Committee. According to Lukashenko, Belarus "needs to have a maximum of its own in terms of military-industrial products."
It is known that Legmash has launched large-scale production of 152-mm and 122-mm artillery shells for barrel artillery (including howitzers D-30, D-20, "Msta-B", "Hyacinth-B" and their self-propelled modifications).
The production of 122-mm unguided rockets of the 9M22U-1 series has also been established there to replenish the ammunition of the 9K51 "Grad" MLRS.
Earlier it became known that at the military equipment parade dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders on July 3 in Minsk, it will be possible to see new Belarusian military equipment. More than 30 units of weapons, military and special equipment created at the enterprises of the State Military-Industrial Committee and the military-industrial complex of the republic will be shown near the Minsk Hero City stele.
