«They will start to break down, fall apart»: Head of KamAZ criticized «Moskvich» cars

Sergey Kogogin believes that Chinese cars are not adapted to Russia

The head of KamAZ, Sergey Kogogin, believes that Chinese cars, which have flooded the Russian new car market, are not adapted to Russian operating conditions at all. According to him, the «Moskvich» project showed this.

The top manager noted that Western automakers conducted tests and adapted their cars before entering the Russian market. According to him, none of the Chinese auto giants approached KamAZ or AvtoVAZ with a request to conduct the necessary tests.

With such a careless attitude to the admission of products that do not meet the technical level, we will put the consumer to great expense, because [Chinese] cars will start to break down, fall apart and everything else.
Sergey Kogogin

Note that «Moskvich 3» cars are covered with anti-corrosion protection at the factory. This was stated by the Mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin. This is probably an initiative of the «Moskvich Automobile Plant» itself.
