Kalibr-carrying Corvettes and Submarine "Velikie Luki" to Join the Baltic Fleet in 2024

Some vessels are already undergoing trials at naval ranges

Three ships and a submarine will join the Baltic Fleet in 2024, the fleet's press service reported. An informed source in the shipbuilding industry clarified that we are talking about three small missile ships (corvettes) and the submarine "Velikie Luki" Project 677.

The source added that the submarine "Velikie Luki" is currently undergoing trials. According to him, all ships are carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles.

The press service of the Baltic Fleet indicated that some of the ships will soon leave the stocks of domestic shipbuilding enterprises. In addition, the fleet will receive support vessels and boats for various purposes.

Commander of the Baltic Fleet Vladimir Vorobyov called the main task maintaining combat readiness to ensure Russia's security in the western direction.
