A domestic analogue of Youtube video hosting may be created by Yandex. There is a possibility that the platform will appear by the end of June. This was announced by Vladimir Zykov, Director of the Association of Professional Users of Social Networks and Messengers.
According to Vladimir Zykov, Yandex is one of the few companies that can implement such a project in the short term.
They have a video section, it is quite large, with its own video recommendations. Yandex has all the necessary parameters to do this.
He emphasized that Yandex has been aggregating videos from various platforms for a long time. To create video hosting, the company needs to create a portal with a recommendation theme, a content delivery service, and open access for all users.

The ban on Youtube has been mentioned more than once, but so far no action has been taken. At the same time, State Duma deputy Anton Gorelkin unequivocally spoke about the possible blocking of the foreign platform.
