The Ministry of Economic Development supported the initiative to increase the recycling fee. This was stated by Deputy Head of the Ministry Maxim Kolesnikov.

According to him, the ministry has a positive attitude to a significant adjustment of the recycling fee. Kolesnikov noted that the necessary calculations for its change have been sent to the government.
Earlier, the head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, complained about Chinese manufacturers who provide large discounts on their products. The top manager advocated increasing the recycling fee.
Recall that the recycling fee in 2024 is planned to be increased from 300 thousand to 556 thousand rubles for cars with engines ranging from 1 to 2 liters. By 2030, its amount is planned to be increased to 1.17 million rubles.
