Не менее 100 тысяч часов до отказа — Россия импортозаместила радиационно-стойкие источники питания

The production of products at "Ruselectronics" after entering mass production has already increased by 25%

The "Ruselectronics" holding of "Rostec" has increased the production of miniature secondary power supplies with increased radiation resistance, modernizing them. These components are already used in control systems and telecommunications equipment. After modernization, they also work in satellite communication systems and spacecraft, replacing imported counterparts.

Radiation-resistant single- and dual-channel power supplies are developed by engineers at the Omsk Research Institute of Instrument Engineering (ONIIIP, part of "Ruselectronics"). These are the first miniature low-power power modules in Russia with increased radiation resistance and a wide input voltage range.

Our development allows us to replace foreign solutions. Since 2022, we have started mass production of such power supplies, and today we have reached a volume of about 2,000 pieces per year. The development of power supplies with improved characteristics has generally increased the production volume of such products by 25%, as well as expanded the pool of customers and entered the aerospace market.
Vladimir Berezovsky, General Director of ONIIIP

Power supplies from ONIIIP received an "optimally selected key control mode using pulse-frequency modulation", which allows "achieving high efficiency, low ripple, and good output voltage instability". They have:

  • wide input voltage range;
  • power of 1 and 1.5 W;
  • compact sealed metal case - only 25.7×22.4×6.4 mm;
  • printed circuit board made of LTCC ceramics, which allows the use of leadless electronic components and reduces the size of the product compared to analogues;
  • mean time between failures of at least 100,000 hours.

Earlier in April, ONIIIP announced the modernization of production and the growth of printed circuit board production. Omsk residents will now be able to produce up to 2500 m² of double-sided and 500 m² of multilayer printed circuit boards per year, including high-precision printed circuit boards. They plan to produce single-sided, double-sided, multilayer (up to 12 layers) and microstrip printed circuit boards of the third and fourth with elements of the fifth class of accuracy.

In general, as part of Rostec, ONIIIP is engaged in research in the field of radio communications: from the creation of radio-electronic components and radio communication devices to complex automated communication and control systems.
