Авиация, газовые турбины, медтехника: Ростех назвал свои приоритеты для развития производств

The state defense order remains the number 1 priority for the state corporation

The Rostec State Corporation will focus on the development of domestic production of aircraft, medical equipment and gas turbines, one of which, the GTD-110M, allowed Russia to finally get rid of imports of large gas turbines.

This was announced in an interview with RBC by Sergey Chemezov, CEO of the state corporation. Chemezov notes that the priority is first to provide Russia with everything necessary that was purchased abroad. At the same time, the state corporation's enterprises have worthy domestic competitors in the production of medical equipment, automotive equipment and other products.

After 2025, active competition is planned in foreign markets in third countries with international companies.

[...] First of all, we must provide our country, our market with everything necessary - what was produced and purchased abroad. It is clear that we will not be able to do this 100%, but nevertheless we need to achieve this as much as possible. And then all the products produced by us should be sold abroad. We are actively working with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. We have good business relations with many companies in these countries.
Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec State Corporation

At the same time, the state defense order remains a priority - "this is No. 1". From civil engineering for development, Chemezov singles out aviation and helicopters.

Our helicopter technology is one of the best in the world. It is actively purchased by almost all countries. This is both military and civilian. Here we have worked and will continue to work in this direction, creating some new equipment, new helicopters.
Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec State Corporation

Other areas of production increase and development are gas turbine plants, which were mainly imported in Russia, and medical equipment. Now, according to the head of Rostec, 75% of medical equipment in Russia is imported, "the niche is huge".
