The "Roselectronics" holding has completed the development of a batch of components for the "Express-AMU4" spacecraft. Actuators - electric motors, electro- and hydraulic drives, relay devices, manipulators - for microwave switches will be used to control the satellite's payload.
The development was carried out by the Special Design Bureau for Relay Technology (SKTB RT) of "Roselectronics." The first batch of actuators has already been delivered to the customer, and work on the planned volume of components at the enterprise will be completed by mid-2025.
As part of the "Express-AMU4" satellite, they will allow microwave switches to switch radio signals of Ku- and C-bands through the channels of the spacecraft's payload equipment, providing data transmission, fixed and mobile communication, as well as digital television broadcasting.
"Express-AMU4" is a Russian communication satellite that is assembled entirely without the use of foreign components. It isbeing developed by satellite builders from JSC "RESHETNEV" based on "Express-1000N", the project was presented in the fall of 2023.
The satellite will provide communication and broadcasting over America, Europe, parts of Africa, and the Middle East, and will serve for at least 15 years. The launch of the first of the satellites is planned for 2026.
