Ministry of Industry and Trade is preparing support measures

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia is preparing support measures for the industrial robot industry. The department is working on tax incentives similar to those received by IT companies, as well as subsidies for the purchase of robots. In addition, the inclusion of robots in the register of Russian electronics is being considered, according to informed sources.

The head of the board of the "Consortium of Robotics and Intelligent Control Systems," Evgeny Dudorov, stated that the organization had sent more than 50 proposals to the Ministry of Industry and Trade regarding support for the industry. He emphasized the need to stimulate demand for Russian robots. For example, to equip specialized educational institutions with industrial robots of domestic production.

President Vladimir Putin previously set the task of actively robotizing production. According to him, by 2030, Russia should be in the top 25 countries in this area.

Alisa Konyukhovskaya, founder of Robot Market Asia, noted that to achieve these indicators, the market should grow by 40% or more per year. More than 800 billion rubles of investment are needed for the robotization of industry, the expert added.

Currently, the industrial robot market in the country has almost 7 thousand units (0.2% of the world market). The density of robotization in the world is 151 robots per 10 thousand jobs, and in Russia — 11 robots per 10 thousand jobs.
