The Russian arms concern Kalashnikov впервые demonstrated the flight of the domestic reconnaissance drone SKAT 350 M. The published footage shows the launch and flight of the UAV from the side and from under the wing, at the end of the flight the drone lands on the ground with the help of a released parachute.
The concern noted that the SKAT 350 M is designed for round-the-clock aerial reconnaissance in the infrared and optical ranges.
Kalashnikov also reminded that the Russian military is already actively using the development. The drone is capable of detecting military enterprises, warehouses of fuel and lubricants and ammunition, RM-70 Vampire multiple launch rocket systems and other military equipment.
Kalashnikov впервые presented the SKAT 350 M at the Ekspotekhnostrazh exhibition in St. Petersburg in early April, it is distinguished by improved aerodynamic properties. The UAV has mechanical strength of control elements and wing structure, which has a positive effect on reliability in operation.
The development is serially produced at the Izhevsk Aviation Plant, which is part of the Kalashnikov concern.
