The Russian arms manufacturer Kalashnikov Group has for the first time demonstrated the flight of the Russian reconnaissance drone SKAT 350 M. The published footage shows the launch and flight of the UAV from the side and from under the wing, at the end of the flight the drone lands on the ground with the help of a released parachute.
The Group noted that the SKAT 350 M is designed for round-the-clock aerial reconnaissance in the infrared and optical ranges.
Kalashnikov also reminded that the Russian military is already actively using the development. The drone is capable of detecting military enterprises, fuel and lubricant depots and ammunition depots, RM-70 Vampire multiple launch rocket systems and other military equipment.
Kalashnikov first presented the SKAT 350 M at the Expotechnostrazh exhibition in St. Petersburg in early April, and it is distinguished by improved aerodynamic properties. The UAV has mechanical strength of the control elements and wing structure, which has a positive effect on reliability in operation.
The development is serially produced at the Izhevsk Aviation Plant, which is part of the Kalashnikov Group.
