HiderX, a manufacturer of tactical camouflage suits for the military, which developed a line of invisibility suits from thermal imagers, has created new camouflage uniforms for the Russian Armed Forces. Tactical camouflage suits and weapon camouflage have already been successfully tested in natural conditions in the Moscow region.
According to HiderX developers speaking to the "TASS" news agency, their products are designed for snipers, UAV operators, scouts, sabotage and reconnaissance and assault groups. They can also be used by medics, artillerymen, and evacuation teams. They weigh little: from 280 to 400 grams, depending on the size.
The tests included:
- "Kora" camouflage suit with imitation and texture of wood coating for military personnel working behind enemy lines or on the front lines. In this camouflage suit, a person is invisible even to drones with thermal imagers;
- "Geometry" camouflage cloak, blurring the human silhouette thanks to a material with a pattern in the form of broken lines. The figure of a person in a thermal imager merges with the terrain and its contours and is not recognized;
- camouflage equipment for weapons that make the strap, which heats up when carried, and the metal invisible. These are special tapes and fabrics that "showed themselves well."
Instead of tapes, a separate coating is already being developed for metal weapon parts, which will make them invisible to the enemy.
