Metal grid and white gloves: AvtoVAZ explains how LADA Vesta suspension is tested

A whole complex of tests has been created for this

LADA Vesta cars are tested after they roll off the assembly line. The car's suspension is checked using a special metal grid and a complex of artificial irregularities on a roller stand.

As soon as the car leaves the assembly line, it is driven onto a rough metal grid. When passing over this unevenness, the car's chassis "falls into place". This is necessary because the cars are moved along the assembly line suspended by the sills.

After that, the car is sent for a camber-toe adjustment procedure, and then to a box with 300 meters of artificial irregularities. Among them are curbs, surfaces with various coatings, including paving stones with cobblestones of various sizes. During this test, all vehicle systems are checked.

The next test for Vesta is roller stands, then a rain chamber, and at the very end the car is inspected in white gloves.
