An unusual breakdown has been recorded in LADA Vesta NG cars. The plastic fuel tank is chafing on the right side due to constant contact with the parking brake cable. This is reported by Lada Online.
Some owners put a corrugation on the parking brake cable to solve the problem, others stick vibration-damping material on the right side of the tank to avoid chafing. Dealers have not yet reacted to the problem. Apparently, they are waiting for instructions from the factory to conduct a recall campaign.
As a reminder, this is not the first problem with the new generation Vesta. Thus, in April, a recall campaign was launched to replace the left engine mount. Due to a defect in the part, extraneous noises and sounds occur. It will be replaced free of charge.
