The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the introduction of new small-sized fuel tankers based on buggies, "UAZ" vehicles, and motorcycles for refueling equipment directly on the front lines. The work of the military personnel of the GSM (fuels and lubricants) service was shown on video.
All these machines are used to increase mobility and safety when delivering fuel in combat conditions. Military personnel noted that the "UAZ" is a fast and passable vehicle that attracts less attention from the enemy compared to large fuel tankers. A tank with a volume of up to 1500 liters with a pumping system is installed in the back of the "UAZ" - this is enough to refuel two or three combat vehicles.
An additional tank is located in the buggy trailer, allowing several pieces of equipment to be refueled simultaneously. The head of the technical equipment and field pipelines department with the call sign Shimano emphasized that the buggy can pass where a large fuel tanker cannot, performing tasks quickly and discreetly.
It was also decided to replace the motorcycle sidecar with a fuel tank. All fuel tankers are now accompanied by soldiers with portable electronic warfare (EW) systems, which are designed to suppress enemy drones.
According to the EW operator with the call sign Lesnik, the new equipment allows you to effectively control the sky and create interference when detecting enemy drones.
