На Калининской АЭС начали использовать робота-пожарного

The device is designed to extinguish all types of fires

A firefighting robot designed to eliminate fires of any hazard class has appeared at the Kalinin Nuclear Power Plant. This was announced by Alexey Solovyov, Head of the Fire Safety Department of the nuclear facility.

Despite its small size, the firefighting robot extinguishes fires at industrial facilities and in hard-to-reach areas. It prevents the spread of fire in natural conditions. The range of the extinguishing agent is 60 m.

The device is remotely controlled by an operator. Commands are transmitted to the firefighting robot via a radio channel within a radius of up to 1 km.

The robot is equipped with cameras, a thermal imager, and chemical and radiation reconnaissance devices that can transmit information to the control post in online mode.
