The Gagarin Aviation Plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur (part of UAC) has delivered the second batch of Su-35S aircraft to the Ministry of Defense in 2024. The fighters have flown to their base.
According to the UAC press service, the 4++ generation Su-35S multifunctional fighters have undergone a cycle of ground and flight tests in various modes.
According to the head of UAC, Yuri Slyusar, the Gagarin Aviation Plant has increased the pace of aircraft production under the state defense order for 2024.
The Komsomolsk residents are fulfilling their obligations to supply aircraft equipment on time and are working on creating new batches of serial Su-35 and Su-57 fighters
Slyusar added that the plant is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year. It is a leading enterprise in the UAC system.
The plant has always been an example of high production standards, introducing the most advanced technologies, mastering new types of equipment, and developing competencies
In the West, this type of aircraft is called a fighter. Russian fighters, from the Su-27 to the Su-35, have been nicknamed Flanker.
