Rosaviatsiya reported that carriers will help veterans of the Great Patriotic War ahead of May 9. Defenders of the Fatherland will be able to apply for free tickets for flights across Russia for themselves and their loved ones. At airports, they will be offered service in lounges.
Who is eligible for a free flight:
- veterans with disabilities of groups 1-3
- participants of the Great Patriotic War and persons equated to them
- Russians who were born from 1941 to 1945

Almost 30 other carriers offered preferential tickets. These include S7, Red Wings, NordStar, Alrosa, and the Vologda Aviation Enterprise.
At Domodedovo, Vnukovo, and Sheremetyevo, veterans will be greeted by volunteers who will help them get to the Victory Day celebration venues.
