The "Shvabe" holding of "Rostec" has developed a new "Vzglyad" thermal imager for intelligence officers and rescuers. "Vzglyad" is a mobile device that is installed on the roof of a car or other equipment and allows the operator to remain hidden at any time of the day.
The thermal imager recognizes a person at a distance of up to 300 meters and equipment at a distance of up to 500 meters, both at night and in conditions of poor visibility. The device with a matrix resolution of 640x512 is connected to a monitor located in front of the driver, and the infrared image is transmitted to the screen in real time. Its clarity, according to the developers, is ensured by a high-resolution optical system of a thermostabilized lens with a microbolometer.
The device will be useful not only to intelligence officers, security forces and rescuers in emergency situations. Rostec notes that the complex can also be used in security structures to ensure the safety of various facilities. It is planned to produce up to 100 thousand "Vzglyad" units per year.
