Engineers at "A-Systems" have developed an autonomous mobile platform that can perform various tasks in combat conditions. Military expert Yuri Lyamin stated that such platforms are very helpful to Russian soldiers.
Features of the "A-Systems" platform:
- Weight — 20 kg
- Transportation of cargo weighing up to 40 kg
- Application: demining and ammunition delivery
- Communication system using fiber optics
- Radio communication control system
One such platform can carry ammunition capable of destroying an enemy stronghold or other large ground target.
The situation is such that we cannot delay the development and launch of production of autonomous platforms
He emphasized that for the past 10 years, autonomous platforms have been used at an experimental level. Now they are in demand in the troops.
Another expert, Alexey Krot, drew attention to the fact that the "A-Systems" communication system uses fiber optics, which is a thin cable. In his opinion, fiber optics are very fragile, and if a projectile hits, communication with the platform will be lost. However, the presence of a radio communication control system solves this problem.
It is known that "A-Systems" plans to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into its platform in the near future.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian military began testing the Turtle ammunition delivery robot.
