The new LADA Iskra is 80% ready, according to AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov. According to him, by the beginning of 2025, when mass production of the car begins, the auto giant must localize dozens of components.
The level of readiness can be estimated at around 80%. It is impressive and pleasing that in such a short time we have managed to achieve sovereignty over the new global platform, including it in the list of bases for the development of the product line
As a reminder, the new model will replace the Granta. The Iskra is built on the localized CMF-B LS platform from Renault-Nissan. It was refined taking into account the parts available to AvtoVAZ: Russian parts and parts from suppliers from countries friendly to Russia.
