Employees of the Russian company Neiry and the Bekhterev National Medical Research Center for Psychiatry and Neurology have presented a prototype of Neiry Buds earbuds with stimulation of the vagus nerve inside the ear canal.
What Neiry Buds can help with:
- insomnia
- anxiety
- stress
- migraines and other pain sensations
The company's press service explained that electrical stimulation normalizes the functioning of the parasympathetic nervous system. In the future, Neiry Buds may help in the treatment of depression and epilepsy.
How Neiry Buds work:
- The technology is non-invasive
- The electrode is located inside the ear canal
- The electric current affects the parotic branch of the vagus nerve
- The stimulation frequency is 120 Hz, the pulse width is less than 1 millisecond, and the current strength is from 4-6 mA.
The task was to produce a completely domestic stimulator — from scientific and engineering thought to a simple and understandable modern gadget
The Neiry product line includes several high-tech devices. Among them are Neiry Headband Pro, Headphones Lite and Pro. Neiry neurointerfaces are used by developers of the Whoosh kicksharing service.
