Irteya (a subsidiary of MTS) has announced the start of production of 5G and 4G stations. To compensate for the equipment shortage resulting from Western sanctions, production was initially planned at the Mikran factory. Later, the decision was made to create base stations at its own site.
The scale of the new factory will allow us to produce from 10,000 to 20,000 base stations annually. This year, we expect total production to reach about 1,000 stations.
Total investment in the project is expected to exceed 4 billion rubles. Production will be implemented with the support of partners. In January of this year, the investment fund "Advanced Technologies" became a co-owner of Irteya.
Production will begin in September of this year. In just a few years, the company plans to reach annual volumes of 20,000 units of equipment.
As previously reported, by 2026, 5G and 6G stations will appear in many cities in Russia 5G и 6G.
