The re-preserved "Progress MS-27" space cargo ship is being prepared for its mission at Baikonur. Its launch will take place very soon — in May.
The device was sent to a space environment simulator to test the systems.
An anechoic chamber is a special room for testing spacecraft. Inside, it is covered with radio-absorbing material, thus simulating space on Earth. Specialists from Roscosmos will test the onboard radio equipment of the Progress rendezvous and docking system.
Then the truck will undergo pneumatic vacuum tests, solar panel checks and other procedures. In parallel with them, cargo is being prepared for the inhabitants of the ISS: from food to water.
