Roscosmos announced the launch of the Russian Earth remote sensing satellite "Resurs-P" No. 4 into orbit. The launch of "Soyuz-2.1b" with it from Baikonur took place the day before.
The satellite's insertion into the target orbit and its separation from the third stage are proceeding as normal, with no incidents.
Like other "Resurs-P" satellites, "Resurs-P" No. 4 will be involved in the study of natural resources, environmental pollution control, support in the search for mineral deposits, assessment of ice conditions, monitoring of emergencies, and assistance to cartographers.
It is the penultimate satellite in its group. From 2025, instead of "Resurs-P", Russia will begin launching more advanced versions into space: "Resurs-PM" satellites.
