The penultimate Russian satellite "Resurs-P" will be launched from Baikonur

The launch is scheduled for March 31

At the Baikonur Cosmodrome, preparations are underway to send a new Earth remote sensing satellite "Resurs-P" No. 4 into orbit.

The Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle has already been approved for refueling, and this process is almost complete.

There is not much time left before the launch from the 31st site of Baikonur. It is scheduled for 12:36 Moscow time.

The Resurs-P No. 4 satellite, which is preparing for launch, is notable for being the penultimate in its series. In 2025, instead of "Resurs-P", their more advanced versions will begin to be launched into space: the "Resurs-PM" satellites.

«Resurs-PM» received a number of new options — for example, the ability to detect launches and flights of rockets, work as a telescope and receive higher resolution images.
