Engineers of the "Sevmash" production association (located in Severodvinsk, part of USC) are manufacturing bearings for universal landing ships (UDC) of project 23900, which are being built in Crimea.
The USC press service reported that the bearings belong to products with a long manufacturing cycle. They require special documentation, which was prepared by the Sevmash design bureau.
What is included in the set of bearings:
- two thrust bearings
- 15 support bearings
It is expected that the support bearings will be assembled in batches. The first five units are currently in operation. Two thrust bearings, the housings and covers of which were welded and heat treated, are in the final stage of machining.
A set of bearings for the first UDC of project 23900 will be handed over in 2024. At the same time, Sevmash specialists are preparing products for the second landing ship.
Earlier it was reported that the flags were raised at the enterprise on two nuclear submarines - "Emperor Alexander III" and "Krasnoyarsk".
