Crew Dragon docking to the Harmony node module — successful

The American shuttle Crew Dragon with the crew of the Crew-8 mission, which includes Russian cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin, has arrived at the ISS. The launch was postponed due to weather conditions.

According to Roscosmos, at 10:28 Moscow time, the Crew Dragon with the Crew-8 mission docked to the Harmony node module of the American segment of the ISS.

Along with Grebenkin, astronauts Matthew Dominick, Michael Barratt, and Jeanette Epps arrived. Thus, there will be eleven astronauts and cosmonauts on the ISS.

Currently, astronauts Jasmin Moghbeli, Loral O’Hara, Andreas Mogensen, and Satoshi Furukawa, and Russian cosmonauts Nikolai Chub, Konstantin Borisov, and Oleg Kononenko are already performing missions there.

Kononenko is the world record holder for the total number of hours spent in space. He has spent a total of more than 880 days in space. It is expected that after the completion of the expedition in September 2024, the total flight time of the cosmonaut will be 1,110 days, making him the first person in the world to have spent so long in space.

He serves as the commander of the Roscosmos cosmonaut corps. Kononenko has also been tasked with finding air leaks on the ISS in the Russian segment of the station, together with specialists from Earth.
