Sibur's subsidiary, Tomskneftekhim, has begun using the first Evocargo N1 unmanned electric truck at its enterprise to transport goods around the territory. Previously, this type of transport was already used by Tatneft and Gazpromneft-Snabzhenie.
In one trip, the N1 can transport up to two tons of polymers around the enterprise, and it travels up to 150-200 km between charges. The truck moves along a route specified by the operator, navigating in space thanks to a multi-sensor system based on machine learning algorithms. It determines the position of the vehicle, calculates a safe trajectory and speed.
When moving, Evocargo N1 complies with traffic rules, takes into account road signs and markings, pedestrian crossings, sidewalks and other infrastructure features. The truck can only accelerate up to 20 km/h, but it charges quickly, in just 40 minutes.
