During a meeting of the Council for Science and Education, which took place in early February, Putin said that Russia is among the top countries in terms of government spending on science.
He instructed the Cabinet to expand funding for this industry. As part of the country's technological development program, members of the government should present a list of the most important science-intensive technologies.
Earlier, the Ministry of Education and Science announced the Student Startup competition to develop technological entrepreneurship among students of Russian universities. Priority will be given to projects related to AI, 3D printing technologies, and medicine. The winners will receive 1 million rubles for their implementation.
