Last year, sales of system units, workstations, and monoblocks in the corporate sector increased by 71% to 100,000 units, according to Olga Dorovskaya, Vice President of OCS Distribution.
In total, Russian manufacturers produced 500,000 portable computers during the year, most of which were purchased by government agencies and the private sector.
OCS Distribution did not disclose data on whose computers were the most in demand. According to Dorovskaya, it concerns products from 20 companies.
Pavel Frolov, founder of «Роббо», attributed the demand for domestic PCs to improved quality. In his opinion, it is now comparable to foreign counterparts. Most PC sales came from DNS (DEXP), iRu, ICL, Depo, and «Аквариус», he added.
