Specialists of the Russian arms concern "Kalashnikov" plan to adjust the composition of spare parts, tools and accessories (ZIP) for the AK-12 according to the feedback from military personnel who used the machine gun in combat.
Engineers of the concern and soldiers of the "West" group of troops restored the failed AK-12s. They were also given ZIPs for the machine gun and the Dragunov sniper rifle (SVD).
Based on the results of this work, specialists will formulate proposals for improving the ZIP. In addition, they will develop documentation for repairing the machine gun, and prepare videos on the operation and maintenance of the AK-12 in the field.

According to current regulations, incomplete disassembly and assembly of the AK for an "excellent" mark should take up to 40 seconds: disassemble in 15 seconds, and assemble in 25 seconds.
AK-12 is an individual weapon of 5.45 mm caliber for the personnel of motorized rifle and other units of the Russian Armed Forces. The machine gun is part of the "Ratnik" equipment.
The West has repeatedly emphasized the advantages of "Kalashnikov" weapons, including its accuracy and reliability.
