Russians faced a global failure of Runet - on the evening of Tuesday, January 30, dozens of sites and applications across the country in the .RU/РФ domain zone stopped working. Everything went down: from private services and applications - "Citydrive", "Sberbank", "Tinkoff" and others - to the websites of media, government bodies and even "Gosuslugi".
The head of the ANO "COORDINATION CENTER OF THE NATIONAL DOMAIN OF THE INTERNET NETWORK", which deals with the .RU/РФ domains, Andrey Vorobyov, in response to a call from Fontanka.ru, said that he"absolutely cannot talk right now", but noted that they are trying to fix the situation.

In other words, it protects any site from cyberattacks, and the user from going to a fraudulent site instead of the original site.
Representatives of those companies that do not use DNSsec stood firm - in particular, mobile Internet communication was preserved by the operator Tele2. MTS and Megafon, according to the Downradar website, are experiencing minor glitches, and Beeline told RIA Novosti that it is operating normally. Mobile operators have not yet given an official comment.
